Camping Mon Perin is part of the Bale Municipality, home to around 1,000 residents. Despite being a small town, Bale boasts a rich history and a well-developed tourism sector. Adding to its unique charm, Bale is also a significant paleontological site, as fossilized dinosaur remains discovered beneath the sea represent the only maritime fossil site in the Mediterranean.
Spring
March - May
The campsite opens in spring, when nature is at its most beautiful. The weather is perfect for enjoying walks, cycling tours, exploring numerous landmarks, and relaxing at the Wellness & Spa centre. Daily temperatures in Istria gradually rise, ranging from 8°C and 22°C. During this period, gentle winds and sunny spells prevail, though occasional cloudy and rainy days may occur, especially in March and April.
Summer
June - August
This is the campsite’s prime season, offering a rich variety of activities. Enjoy daily sports events, poolside entertainment, concerts, movie nights, and themed evenings at the campsite and its restaurants, making every day special. Daily temperatures range from 18°C to 32°C, with the campsite benefiting from a warm Mediterranean climate. By June, the sea is already warm enough for swimming. During this period, sunny days dominate, with minimal chances of rainfall.
Autumn
September - November
From September to November, temperatures remain pleasant, making it an ideal time for relaxing in nature, coastal walks, and outdoor activities. The slower pace of the late season creates perfect conditions for a peaceful retreat, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Daily temperatures range from 10°C to 24°C, offering a calm yet unforgettable autumn experience at the campsite
Winter
December - February
Winters in Istria are mild, with snow being uncommon, while winds – especially the ‘bura’ and ‘jugo’ – become stronger. Daily temperatures range from 5°C to 12°C, with sunny periods alternating with occasional rain. The campsite is closed during winter, but you can find accommodation in Bale. This season is perfect for enjoying winter activities, and Istria offers a charming festive atmosphere that won’t disappoint.
Camping Mon Perin is situated on the western coast of Istria, near the charming small town of Bale, just 6 km away (an 8-minute drive). It is a 20-minute drive (19 km) away from the romantic town of Rovinj and about 30-minute drive (32 km) from the historic city of Pula.
The campsite is easily accessible by land. If you are travelling by car, take the Kanfanar exit from the highway, then follow road D303 to Bale. If you are flying into Pula Airport, you can reach the campsite via private transfer or rental car. For stays longer than 7 nights, enjoy the convenience of a free airport transfer.
